My name is लक्ष्या Lakshya E. This is a very special name given to me by my Guru, Pujya Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswatiji. Lakshyā is a Sanskrit word, meaning “target” or “ultimate goal”. What is it that every human being is ultimately seeking in life? The answer would be: Love... Oneness... Fulfillment...
After living in India for 3.5 amazing years, I have returned to Dubai. I give Yoga classes in Dubai, as well as meditation, Vedanta, Vedic Chanting, and Sanskrit. For more information please visit my website!
I have completed a three-year residential course on Vedanta, Sanskrit and Vedic chanting with Pujya Swamiji, at Arsha Vidya Gurukulam,
Coimbatore, India. Here we learned about the truth of life, and the truth of each one of us. We come to understand that in reality, all that we are seeking for, is within ourselves already!
I got drawn to live a spiritual life in my early twenties, after completing a B.Com at McGill University in 2009. It all started through yoga... Being an active yoginī since my teen years, I came to India to pursue a yoga teacher training at the Sivananda Institute, Kerala in 2010. Upon completing this, I knew that my journey was only at the beginning, and that there was an ocean of knowledge in front of me. That is how I came to my Guru and got the opportunity to join the course.
Being a mixture between Dutch & Indonesian, I was born in Canada, raised in Africa and the Middle-East, and I can now say that I have found my home in India. This magnificent country blooms in every aspect of it; the rich culture, the vedic tradition, yoga, the exotic cuisine, natural remedies and healing systems, and most of all its capacity to reveal divinity in everyone, and everything.
On this blog I plan to share the knowledge that I have gained from my life in India, from the perspectives of a yoginī, Vedantin, a hindu, a nature lover, and a traveller.
